Servicing facts

How often should my motorcycle be serviced?

We would recommend that your motorbike undergoes a service once a year. There can also be requirements for a full service once a certain mileage has been reached, but these could vary from bike to bike. For 125cc 4 stroke as a general guide this is between 2000-2500 miles depending on manufacturers recommendations. This is different when buying a new/nearly new motorcycle as the first 3 services are at varied recommended mileages by the manufacture due to “bedding in”.

How long does a service take?

Giving a precise answer to this question can be difficult, but servicing will typically be completed within the same day. However, there can be factors which can extend this time, such as repair or replacement work for faulty parts that are discovered if it is deemed unsafe by our mechanic shall you wish for the work to be carried out. If you are also having an Mot then be prepared for us to have your motorcycle for 1-2 days depending on drop off time.

How quickly can I get my motorcycle booked in?

As a rough guide we are usually able to book your motorcycle in for the same week or the following week.

How are prices calculated and how am I notified?

When you first book in we will give you a basic quotation for your service, once the service is carried out if we notice during our checks that there are any parts/faults that need repairing/replacing we will notify you and if you wish for us to carry out the work we may be able to do same day or have to rebook depending on parts and labour required.

What happens if I miss my booking?

If you miss your first booking with us or give us under 24 hours notice of cancellation there will be no charge however if you wish to rebook we will require a non refundable deposit incase of reoccurrence.
